The Bridge Patisserie, Winchester
Earlier this year I was delighted to be asked to come up with a refurbishment concept for coffee shop and patisserie, The Bridge Patisserie, situated along Bridge Street in Winchester. With an expanse of glass frontage spanning across three large full-height windows, it was crying out for some illustrated vinyls. The patisserie has been running for 20 years and will be celebrating it's anniversary in late August, so it was a great time to give the shop and cafe area a much needed facelift. As the city's only french-themed patisserie since the arrival and departure of Patisserie Valerie a little further down the high street, it has been serving beautiful, handmade tarts, cakes and pastries for many years. Celebrating it's french roots, we opted for a highly-decorated design, influenced by the decadent style of Marie Antoinette and pinned around the shop's short, but to-the-point mission statement: 'Let Them Eat Cake!'
I loved working on this project alongside owner, Moira Windsor, coming up with a illustrative shop front that would stand out along Bridge Street, celebrating some of the local suppliers the patisserie have used for many years.
We're looking forward to August where we'll be launching some beautiful product packaging to match the new Bridge Patisserie aesthetic, along with a week of celebratory events.
